The Gift of a Lifetime Supporting Thousands with a single gift Have you considered including a gift to your favourite charity in your will? With your legacy, Youth and women in some of the world's deprived areas will be able to improve their lives and those of several generations to come as they will be able to establish sustainable businesses, make profits by protecting their environment and using cleaner solutions of energy to provide for their families. The seed money originally given will be 'planted' multiple times to ensure that another family will begin to benefit from your generosity, so the cycle is never ending...... Help future generations work their way out of poverty The planning of a Will takes time and great care. While considering the best ways in which to provide for the requirements of family and friends, many people also choose to reflect on the causes that are of significance in their lives. For many charities, legacies are a significant part of their income. Inheritance tax doesn’t apply in the case of legacies to charities-similar advantages apply to leaving assets to a charity by setting up a trust. The money given is therefore maximised, as is the potential of the gift. What do you need to do? To leave a legacy to a charity, you simply need to include details of the donation in your will.  This can be done by writing a will, by making an amendment or ‘codicil’ to an existing will or by setting up a Trust.  Your solicitor or professional adviser will be able to tell you more. If you do not have a solicitor, The Law Society has an impartial referral service: see www.lawsociety.org.uk or call 0870 606 6575. Contact Mrs. Carole Kanja to find out more about leaving a legacy to Environclean Community Group today.   Downloads Legacy Fundraising Jargon Buster.pdf
